1If my flight to Cali is delayed, will I still find someone to pick me up?
Of course! Our priority is your well-being. You can have the peace of mind of knowing that someone trustworthy will be waiting for you, regardless of the conditions or different situations that may arise during the trip.
2If I do not like the hotel I've chosen, can I change it once I'm there?
Yes. The comfort of each patient and their companions is extremely important to us. Although we try to ensure that the hotel that is chosen from the beginning meets your expectations and needs, we will be at your disposal to find a different accommodation if required. The change of hotel / apartment may imply changes in the rates.
3Is it possible for a Nurse to accompany me during all trips to the city?
It is possible. According to the need or request of the patient, the accompaniment by a bilingual nurse will be scheduled. However, we also have bilingual caregivers who can provide accompaniment when the care required is less critical. These options can be combined to fit the different requirements of each specific moment, and the budget.
4Will professional nurses accompany me?
In Colombia there are two types of Nurses. Professional Nurses, equivalent to Registered Nurses (RN) and known in our country as "Heads of Nursing" (jefes de enfermería), and Auxiliary Nursing Technitians, equivalent to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN). The Head Nurses are dedicated to a greater extent to administrative tasks while the Auxiliary Nurses are in charge of the practical care of the patient such as wound healing, administration of medications including IV's, among others.
The accompaniment will be carried out by Bilingual Auxiliary Nurses or with bilingual skills, this will be decided in mutual agreement with each patient.
5Due to my medical condition, I cannot carry heavy objects. Can someone help me with this?
Of course. During your arrival and return our drivers will be in charge of loading and unloading heavy luggage. However, if you require this type of assistance in other occasions, we are just a phone call away.
6If I travel with children, will you help me find childcare for them?
We can have the baby sitter service arranged, but it must be requested with prior notice and is subject to availability.
7What activities are there in the city for the elderly?
Our city has a wide sports, cultural and gastronomic offer. For the elderly there are activities such as:
- Eco-therapeutic outings
- Museums and art exhibitions
- Salsa dancing exhibits
- Food tour
- Food tour

8Will you accompany me during exams and medical appointments to translate what the doctor says?
Facilitating effective communication with the environment is one of our promises and good communication with the treating physician and in diagnostic tests is absolutely necessary.
Some health providers have a service for international patients. Others do not. This is why we have different support plans that are tailored to your needs.
Regardless of the chosen plan, it will always be possible to have the support of someone to carry out the translation during appointments. Either with a caregiver or a permanent bilingual nurse, or by coordinating the accompaniment specifically for scheduled appointments. Let's talk about the options!
9If an emergency occurs during my stay, how are you prepared to react?
Although no one wants an emergency situation, it must be anticipated. That is why all members of our team are certified first aid. In addition, the hotels and lodgings with which we work have a “protected area” service that covers all cases of urgencies and medical emergencies
10If I buy lodging and transportation services through WeCare, are they more expensive than if I take them directly?
No. We charge a fixed fee for our advisory and accompaniment services. All transportation, lodging, tourism costs, among others, are transferred and reported to our clients in an itemized quote. This guarantees transparency in the provision of our services.
Our agreements with hotels and lodging services allow us to offer you the best possible prices. Our advisory and support rate allows us to work to achieve these prices, and offer you the best care and the peace of mind and support of having us and our services 24/7.
11Can you help me with currency exchange?
We can program the accompaniment, transportation included, to and from a legally constituted agency for currency exchange, thus guaranteeing the security of the transaction. In addition, we previously take care of listing in each of them to obtain the greatest benefit from the exchange.
12Do you receive payment in cash?
We receive all means of payment: Wire transfer, credit or debit card, cash in pesos or dollars (the cost in dollars will be defined based on the TRM of the day the rate is agreed).
13In addition to English, French and Spanish, can I receive care in other languages?
We can manage the translation service according to your requirement. The cost of these services will be defined taking into account the availability in the requested language.
14Do you have wheelchairs to rent?
We arrange the rental and transport of medical equipment and accessories, according to your need, with selected suppliers.
15If I need special food, can you get it?
Hotels with food service included offer the possibility of providing you with a specific diet plans. This is predefined for postsurgical patients. Other requests must be made with prior notice and may be subject to variations in the rate offered.
For stays in studio apartments or apartments with hired housekeeping service, the menu will be agreed in advance.
16What kind of precautions should I have when being in Cali?
Although we would like the reality of our country to be different, it is necessary to warn that there are security risks. We prevent these risks by carefully choosing the areas of hotels, lodgings and others where you will move. The permanent accompaniment and the included transport service also offer greater security.
However, it is important to:
- Avoid wearing fine jewelry outdoors.
- Limit the use of cell phones or other devices when going out to the street or during car transfers.
- Make all inquiries and requests to the WeCare team or reception staff at the hotels.
- Follow the self-care instructions.
